I currently live in Winnipeg, MB - a Canadian, prairie city that is more quaint than urban. The hot summers are infested with blood-thirsty mosquitoes and we have death-freezing winters that can render even the toughest of people quite docile. While 99.9% of the population will complain about how crappy it is to live here, we continue to do so and are strangely and quietly proud of our big-little-city syndrome.
I actually love living here and I thought I'd share some of the best that my city and province have to offer.
This song by Winnipeg's The Weakerthan's probably sums up the love/hate Winnipeggers have for their own city. (Sorry, I don't know why the You Tube player isn't working.)
